Ticket Industry Goes “All In” on Ticket Prices

From now forward when a fan is purchasing tickets to a live event they will see the entire price upfront. The “all in” ticket price, which includes service charge & fees, will be displayed at the initial ticket listing. This means that fans will know the entire ticket price they are paying from the moment they land on a ticket site and there will be no additional fees added on when they reach the cart checkout screen. The only exception to this new policy is sales tax which will not display until the cart checkout screen.

This “all in” ticket price is the new norm in the live events ticket industry as well as related industries like travel (e.g.- Airbnb). The FTC mandated that every ticket site show the full, total price upfront and there are no additional fees added at checkout. This new ticket pricing model rolled out on May 12, 2025 and will be the norm for ticket buyers. Some fans may experience some price sticker shock at the upfront price, if they are expecting to pay additional fees, but will adjust to the norm pricing. This change should improve a much improved ticket buying experience for consumers. “All in” pricing is something that the TTSA has been fighting to get into law in Texas for the past two legislative sessions, so this is a welcome change.
